Six twenty eight

After two albums, the first in a record label, the second independent and backed by a PR campaign and a founding tour, Talya Eliav releases a third, almost exclusively home-made, totally independent album, produced by Shai Lowenstein.

A focused, short, subversive album injected with some pop subtext. Original poetic Hebrew lyrics, accompanied by organ playing, and an exciting and poignant electric guitar playing by Shai Lowenstein, in his uniquely uncompromising sound (Yeho Yaron, Quetev Meriri). The electronic drums are programmed in their home studio, the production expresses musical research and playfulness on various devices [guitar effects, micro-corg, chaos pad, blasts and noise recordings]. The songs are sad and protesting [as always], this time seeking to communicate with the audience more than ever.

In a simple submission, Talya peeling another skin off, revealing thoughts of death; Devotion to the unknown; Solitude; Protest; Urban sadness; Reflections on pain; deconstruction of words.

‘Six twenty eight’ sends signals to outer space, "Ready for launch .." Towards new borders, language and style.
